We've been itching to create a small-ish back pack using our upcycled wool jackets. To get around the scratchy feel of wool on a warm back, we use waxed canvas for the back and base of bag. ( a short bike ride wearing the all-wool test model, highlighted this problem) The result is hard working, comfortable and good looking - the perfect mate for your travels or daily commute. It will hold a good sized wallet, a water bottle and lunch perhaps. A hands-free option to carrying a roomy purse. Loose items can be kept secure in the two front zippered pockets. Each bag is unique and has its own hidden "backstory" embedded in the fabrics we have used.
"Cedar" is made from an olive green herringbone weave wool jacket. The base and back uses oilskin fabric from an Australian outback riding coat . The lining is a cream light cotton.
