Come for the Yarn.... but stay for the bags!
We'll be making the drive down to Lacombe for the Prairie Fibre Festival on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Just like our mittens, our bags are made using material that is repurposed from wool clothing items. Instead of sweaters, we use mostly wool jackets, scarves and some cashmere. The trunk will be full of tote bags, zippered bags, and drawstring bags. Each one a unique design and sewn by us in Edmonton.
There's lots to do in Lacombe once you've stopped in at the Fibre Festival, located at 5214 - 50 Avenue in Lacombe. The world's largest fishing lure, the Cilantro and Chive Restaurant and the 5024 General Store to name a few.
We'll be bringing our cashmere neck warmers, for those cool knitting nights, and we will be previewing our holiday stockings that we think are better than ever. Made using wool scraps, they are adorable.

In late November 2013, we began sewing mittens from recycled wool sweaters as a fund raiser for a once in a lifetime charity bike ride the following year. We reached our goal and then rode 1800 kms home from Haida Gwaii, BC with a custom carved totem pole, which you can now see at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton. The demand for these mittens and the amount of fun we had creating these little works of art moved us, literally, and after much deliberation, we created the jj wool company!
But we haven’t just stood still… we continue to ride our bikes everywhere and are constantly inspired by the variety of gorgeous wool garments we've found. We've created a whole bunch of new clothing and accessories... from our ‘get your ass outside’ sweater skirts to the smallest of zip cases.

We offer free local delivery, sometimes by bike, in the Edmonton area. Curb side pick-up is always available at 9516-86 avenue.
Currently only shipping to Canadian addresses, $10 flat rate.
